T20 World Cup 2026: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the final travelling groups from Cricket South Africa and Cricket West Indies have safely departed from India following the conclusion of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
According to the ICC, the remaining 29 members of the South African contingent and the final 16 members of the West Indies travelling party left for their respective home countries within the last 24 hours. Their departures bring to an end a complex travel operation that unfolded amid challenging global travel conditions.

The ICC stated that its operations and logistics teams worked continuously throughout the process to ensure the safe return of players and support staff. The governing body coordinated closely with governments, airlines, charter providers, airport authorities and member boards to manage disruptions and constantly changing travel conditions.
Ensuring the safety and timely travel of all remaining personnel was the ICC's top priority during the operation. The organisation had to make several adjustments as circumstances evolved, highlighting the complexity of managing international travel for large sporting delegations.
The ICC also expressed gratitude to both boards and their squads for their cooperation during the process. It thanked the players, staff and families of the South African and West Indies teams for their patience, as well as ICC staff members who worked extensively behind the scenes to coordinate the departures.
With the final groups now safely on their way home, the ICC confirmed that the logistical operation related to the tournament has officially concluded.
