T20 World Cup 2026: Volschenk, Jarvis Approved as Replacements
The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 has approved Alex Volschenk as a replacement for Ben Shikongo in Namibia's squad.
Volschenk was named after Shikongo was ruled out with a right thigh injury sustained during Namibia's match against India on 12 February. As per tournament regulations, any mid-event squad change requires formal clearance from the Event Technical Committee before the incoming player can be officially added.

The committee for the 2026 edition comprises Wasim Khan (ICC General Manager - Cricket and Chair), Gaurav Saxena (ICC General Manager - Events & Corporate Communications, IBC representative), Hemang Amin (Tournament Director, host representative), and Shaun Pollock (Independent nominee).
With Volschenk's inclusion now ratified, Namibia will look to stabilise their campaign after losing one of their frontline options to injury.
Jarvis cleared to replace Sharif in Scotland squad.
In a separate development, the Event Technical Committee has also approved Jack Jarvis as a replacement for Safyaan Sharif in Scotland's squad.
Sharif injured his right groin during a training session on 12 February, prompting Scotland to call up Jarvis, who already has eight T20I caps and was travelling with the team as a reserve. His prior integration with the squad ensures minimal disruption as Scotland recalibrates their bowling plans.
The ETC overseeing squad changes remains the same body, comprising Wasim Khan, Gaurav Saxena, Hemang Amin, and Shaun Pollock.
With both Namibia and Scotland forced into early tournament adjustments, squad depth is already being tested as the T20 World Cup gathers pace.
