T20 World Cup: Pakistan cricket was hit by drama once again after PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi stopped the announcement of Pakistan squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 to express his displeasure against the selection panel consisting of Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Yousuf, Abdul Razzaq and Asad Shafique.
As per the reports in Pakistan media, Naqvi is unhappy over the conduct of the Pakistan selectors. He hasn't raised objections over the players selected in the squad, but expressed displeasure over the fact that proper meetings were not held.

PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi is also miffed with the fact that the details of the meetings held by the selectors were not shared with him. He has also written a letter to the selection committee members in a bid to seek clarification over the matter.
Pakistan's T20 World Cup squad won’t be announced until the selection committee completes the entire process. The reports added that the selection committee would complete the required process within three hours, and the Pakistan squad would be announced thereafter.
Notably, the deadline for all teams to announce their squad is May 25 and any changes after that will require approval from the ICC’s Event Technical Committee.
