T20 World Cup: Irfan Pathan has announced his probable India squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 which starts from June 2. The marquee ICC event will be played in the USA and the West Indies.
Former India captain Virat Kohli has found a place in the Rohit Sharma-led squad. However, there have been some noticeable omissions. The likes of Ishan Kishan, Mohammed Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson have been omitted.

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has found a place alongside Shubman Gill. Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh have been picked as the three other specialist batters for India in the T20 World Cup 2024.
Shivam Dube has also not found a place despite his excellent form for India, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2024. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja have been named as all-rounders in Irfan Pathan's probable squad for T20 World Cup 2024.
Irfan Pathan picked Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Jitesh Sharma as the three wicketkeeper-batters. Young talent Dhruv Jurel and Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson have missed the berth in Irfan's India probable for T20 World Cup 2024.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravichandran Ashwin have been ignored. Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi are the two specialist spinners in the 15-member India's probable T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
Mohammed Shami, who is nursing an ankle injury at the moment, has also not got a place. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj have been picked as two main spinners. There is a toss up between Arshdeep Singh and Mohsin Khan for the spot for third pacer
