T20Is: We will play fearless cricket against Australia, says Suresh Raina

Adelaide, Jan 26: Batsman Suresh Raina is confident that India will do well in the 3-match Twenty20 International series against Australia which starts today (January 26) in Adelaide.

Raina, who was not part of the side which lost the ODI rubber 1-4 to the hosts, said they will play fearless cricket in the shortest format of the game.

"It will be important for us to start the series well. We intend to play fearless cricket," Raina told the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) website on Monday (January 25).

"The ODI series is the past now and this is a fresh beginning. We have to look to be dominating and be positive in our approach. We will do well.

"Australia is an entertaining place to play cricket and we are looking forward to it. Australia have a young side and they would know that the win in the last game has given us good momentum going into the T20Is. They will come hard at us but we are ready too," he added.

The 29-year-old Raina needs 17 to complete 1,000 runs in T20Is. So far he has featured in 46 games for India. He and Rohit Sharma are the only centurions in the T20I format for India.
