Bengaluru, September 5: Even if they touch sky in their respective disciplines, sportspersons hardly ever forget the paths they walked and the people who supported them.

Teachers Day (September 5) was a perfect occasion for them to remember the ones who guided them in the budding stage.

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar led the way posting on his twitter handle a video of him paying tribute to his 'gurus', including Ramakanth Achrekar, his first coach.

Others like ace badminton player PV Sindhu and cricketer Jaspreet Bumrah too posted about the importance of teachers in our lives.
