The Indian cricket team, who won the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados on Saturday, landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Thursday morning as thousands of fans gathered to give them a heroes' welcome.
Team India players, their families, coaching and support staff, and the BCCI official left Barbados on Wednesday after being stuck in the Caribbean island for four days after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 due to Hurricane Beryl.

We fold our Live coverage on that note. MyKhel will like to congratulate the entire nation for the T20 World Cup 2024 success and special thanks to Team India for bringing this nation a moment of joy and memories that last a lifetime!
The ceremony finally comes to an end but the celebration don't as the World Champions will like to head back to their family for some much deserved break

While we wait for the victory parade to begin, let's take a look at the poetry penned by actor Ayushmann Khurrana dedicated to Team India
"Semi-finals me Kohli ke muh se nikla tha Ben-Strokes, tab toh alochakon ne laga diye they saare chokes. Aur ye final me dikha diya legend ne apna Virat roop, samjho pyaare yehi hai jeevan chaaon aur dhoop.
"Pandya ko bhi pichle do mahine se bahut kuch kaha sunaya, aakhiri over me fir usi ne toh jalwa dikhaya. Aur moochein ho toh Hardik jaisi ho varna na ho aur bowling figures ho toh Bumrah jaisi ho warna na ho."

Uh-oh! Expect further delay in the victory parade as the Indian team's open bus is stuck before reaching NCPA to pick up Rohit Sharma and the rest of the team.
While fans eagerly wait for the parade to begin, there is increased security at Churchgate and other local railway stations in Mumbai because of the victory parade.
Western Railways mentioned on X that the parade will coincide with thousands of commuters travelling from South Mumbai to North Mumbai.
Since the afternoon, Mumbai has been getting crowded with fans eagerly awaiting Rohit Sharma and his team, who have already arrived in the city after their meeting with PM Modi

Another update coming from Mumbai. There could be further delay in the victory parade as players will meet Maharashtra CM before starting the open-top bus parade.
Shiv Sena leader Pratap Sarnaik told ANI, "Today's programme in Mumbai has been organised by BCCI. Team India players from Mumbai including Captain Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dubey and Yashasvi Jaiswal will come to the Maharashtra Assembly tomorrow to meet CM Eknath Shinde. Being a member of MCA, I invited the players and they have accepted my invitation."
Important update for those in Mumbai. The Mumbai traffic police have prohibited vehicle parking from morning to night on 10 roads surrounding the victory parade route of the Indian Cricket Team. Full list here:
Parking will be entirely banned on N S Road, Veer Nariman Road, Madam Cama Road, Free Press Marg, Dinshaw Vacha Road, and Maharshi Karve Road.
Additionally, parking will be prohibited from morning to night on Barrister Rajni Patel Marg, Ramnath Goenka Marg, Vinay K Shah Road, and Jamanalal Bajaj Marg, except for vehicles belonging to Vidhan Bhavan members due to the ongoing assembly session.
One would have thought that Team India's late arrival to the country would have toned down the celebration in Mumbai but there's no enthusiasm lost. It feels like India won the World Cup the other night

BCCI arranged a special Air India flight for the contingent and also showed a great gesture by bringing members of the Indian media back home in the same flight.
The Rohit Sharma-led team will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi later today before jetting off to Mumbai where a victory parade has been arranged at 5:00 PM.
"The Indian cricket team is reaching Mumbai tomorrow after winning the T20 World Cup. A victory procession in an open bus is being held from 5-7 pm on Marine Drive between Nariman Point and Wankhede Stadium. If you want to attend the procession, kindly reach before 4:30 pm and assemble on the promenade side and not on the road," Mumbai Police said in its advisory for the fans.
"A victory lap is being held in Wankhede Stadium at 7 pm. If you wish to attend that, please ensure you reach and be seated in the stadium before 6 pm... Kindly try to use public transport to avoid traffic congestion," Mumbai Police DCP Zone 1 Pravin Munde said.
A small event will be held at the Wankhede Stadium, the venue where India lifted the 2011 ODI World Cup. BCCI secretary Jay Shah will once again hand the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy to Rohit Sharma at the event.
