Visakhapatnam, Aug 5: Indian Volleyball team's morale is high after finishing runners up in the recently concluded Second Commonwealth Volleyball Championships at Kolkata and is ready for the first ever five test match series with Pakistan, beginning here on August Seven, Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) Vice-President Kodanda Ramaiah has said.
Talking to 'UNI', Mr Ramaiah said the overall performance of India was good and they had won gold in Second Asian Central Zone Volleyball Championships held in Pakistan during June 2007.
''Indian players are continuing with their efforts to win matches.
They have defeated formidable South Africans in the semifinals of Commonwealth Volleyball Championships,'' he added.
Andhra Pradesh Volleyball Federation President A Ramanarao said the Indian team had shaped well under the tutelage of coach G E Sridharan and Assistant Coach S Karimullah.
After the second match slated on August eight, both the team would move on to Chennai for the third test on August ten.
The fourth test would be held at Coimbatore on August 12 and the fifth and last test at Hyderabad on August 14.
