Team India Sport Jersey With Dream11 Logo As Title Sponsors - Fans Wish Team Dream11 Instead of India

By MyKhel Staff

Team India will sport the jersey with the Dream11 logo as title sponsors for the first time during the West Indies tour after the Indian fantasy sports platform inked a three-year deal with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) earlier this month.

BCCI had announced in a release that Dream11, India's biggest fantasy sports gaming platform is Team India's lead sponsor for the period of three years. Dream11 will replace BYJU's, who ended their contract with the BCCI in March 2023.

The release also added that Dream11 will be seen on Team India jerseys starting from the Test series against the West Indies, the team's first assignment in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle.

Before the India tour of West Indies gets underway with the Test series, some pictures of the players sporting the jersey with the dream11 logo were leaked on Social Media and fans reacted hilariously to the red logo on a blue themed top.

While some fans called it ugly, some questioned if it was Team India or Team Dream11 that will take the field. Nevertheless, the fans don't seem thrilled with new kit as they preferred the plain kit worn during the World Test Championship (WTC) final last month.

One fan also pointed out that the crowd, who buy the jersey from Adidas will look better than the poor players with the big red logo on the torso, while some fans also said BCCI has made betting legal now.

Rohit Sharma and co will face West Indies in a two-match Test series, staring with the first Test from Wednesday (July 12) at the Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica followed by the second Test at Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad from July 20.

The Men in Blue will then continue their tour of the Caribbean with eight white ball matches, starting with three ODIs from July 27 to August 1 followed by the five-match T20I series from August 3 to 13.
