Mumbai turned up for India and the champions on Thursday (July 4). It was a sea of people in the backdrop of the Arabian sea as lakhs of people felicitated the victorious Indian team on their homecoming.
The open-top bus parade from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium was a scenic journey for the Indian team with thousands of fans stationed on the sides of the Marine Drive, a few even on top of a tree.

After the parade concluded, Indian players were felicitated with the whopping Rs 125 crore cheque by BCCI inside the Wankhede Stadium, which was attended by a full house crowd.
Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and others spoke at the ceremony and then danced their heart out to various tunes with the spectators. The emotions were running high and it was a celebration of the entire country.
It was indeed a magical night in Mumbai, but another is coming on the way on Friday (July 5).
As per a post on social media by India pacer Mohammed Siraj, another victory rally will be taking place in Hyderabad on Friday. It will be the way the city of Nizams welcomes their own boy Siraj, who will become the latest to win the World Cup from the city.

Siraj confirmed it on his Instagram that a victory rally will be taking place in Hyderabad from 6:30 pm on Friday. The rally will start at the Sarojini Eye Hospital in Mehdipatnam and will finish at the Eidgah ground.
