Team India Victory Parade Wankhede Stadium chants Hardik Hardik in joy as Hardik Pandya gets redemption in Mumbai

After the parade, team India was felicitated at the Wankhede Stadium. BCCI invited the fans to the stadium and thousands of supporters emerged at the stadium ignoring the continuous rain in Mumbai.

As the players emerged to the stadium, the fans were in unison cheering for the players. India captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were the central part of the cheers, but it was another name which was reverberating among the fans, which was Hardik Pandya.

The fans were cheering 'Hardik, Hardik' in support, which must have felt like music to his ears. After being appointed as the captain of Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya was subject to huge boos and abuses by the fans. Even the Mumbai Indians fans criticized and abused Hardik during the course of the IPL 2024.

But it was a fantastic redemption and homecoming for the India vice-captain who returned to the Wankhede Stadium. The fans were cheering for the player with their voice out. Rohit Sharma also spoke highly about Hardik as the India vice-captain bowled the difficult last over in the final.

"Hardik was bowling the crucial over for us. Hats off to him for bowling that last over. No matter how many runs you need, there is always pressure to bowl the last over," Rohit Sharma spoke on the podium praising Hardik Pandya.

As Rohit spoke about Hardik, the entire stadium broke out cheering for the all-rounder. The player also acknowledged the support and stood up thanking all the fans. The entire ground was in support of the Indian stars who conquered the world after a huge gap of 13 years.

Hardik Pandya is expected to be among the running to be the next India captain as Rohit Sharma took retirement from T20 format after a World Cup-winning swansong.
