Kochi, Feb 18 (UNI) Exuding confidence about India winning the World Cup, Indian speedster Sreesanth today said the team was riding on a positive wave and the world cup was an opportunity for everyone to perform well.

Speaking to reporters here, Sreesanth said the Indian team had a positive attitude as every player believed in themselves and was really looking forward to the World Cup.

''The path to the semi-finals will be tough, Above all one can't say anything in the one-day matches,'' he added.

He said the team was working hard and chalking out various strategies to face the challenges in the tournament.

Sreesanth said lot of training sessions and warm up games were coming up as a prelude to the World Cup.

Expressing happiness over his inclusion in the World Cup squad, Sreesanth said hard work paid off and it was a dream come true.

''It is the dream of every crciketer to play in the World Cup and perform well for the country,'' he said.

On his subdued perfomance in the ODI series against West Indies, Sreesanth said ''the mistake I made was that I over looked for wickets.'' He said Coach Greg Chappell, Captain Dravid and Sachin helped him and advised him to adjust the line and length in Indian pitches.

Describing Sachin as a 'God' in his view, Sreesanth said ''the batting maestro infused confidence in him and also advised him not doubt his talents.'' Recalling a discussion with super batsman Brian Lara during the recent series, Sreesanth said the living legend told me to keep the game simple and uncomplicated in the ODIs.

Sreesanth will be going to Chennai for a stint under legendary fast bowler Dennis Lillee at the MRF Pace Foundation.

When asked about his fielding, Sreesanth said he was working on it and would be a better fielder in the future.
