Ten arrested for cricket betting in Varanasi

Varanasi, May 26: Ten persons were arrested here on May 25 for allegedly betting on the final IPL match, police said.

30 cellphones, three computers, a laptop and cash worth Rs 6.4 lakhs were seized from the ten persons arrested from a betting den here, SSP Ajay Kumar Mishra said.

Mishra said that according to initial investigations the arrested were found to have connections in Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
