Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly and 8 others to receive Rs 1.5 crore each from BCCI

Mumbai, Nov 9: Former India captains Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and 8 other ex-cricketers will receive Rs 1.5 crore each as one-time benefit from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

On Monday (November 9), BCCI put out a list of cricketers who are receiving the one-time benefit. Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Ravi Shastri, Anil Kumble, Dilip Vengsarkar, Syed Kirmani, S Venkataraghavan and Javagal Srinath are the 11 former cricketers who will get Rs 1.5 crore each from the Indian cricket board.

There are 200 cricketers who are part of the one-time benefit scheme. 7 cricketers - GR Viswanath, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Kris Srikkanth, BK Venkatesh Prasad, Kiran More, Nayan Mongia and Mohinder Amarnath will get Rs 1 crore each. Also 37 cricketers who have passed away, are part of the scheme.

According to the BCCI, the cricketers who have played 100 or more Test matches are eligible for Rs 1.5 crore payment while players between 75 and 100 Tests, will get Rs 1 crore.

Between 75 and 100 Test matches - Rs 1 crore - 7

Between 50 and 74 Test matches - Rs 75 lakh - 13

Between 25 and 49 Test matches - Rs 60 lakh - 27

Between 10 and 24 Test matches - Rs 50 lakh - 37

Between 1 and 9 Test matches - Rs 35 lakh - 37

100 or more First class matches at the end of 2003-04 season - Rs 30 lakh - 24

Between 75 and 99 First class matches at the end of 2003-04 season - Rs 25 lakh - 81
