Thailand and Nepal have secured their spots in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Global Qualifier after impressive performances in the Asia Qualifier's Super Three stage held in Bangkok.
The duo emerged as the top two sides in the competition and will now move one step closer to earning a place at the marquee tournament set to take place in England and Wales.

The regional qualifier featured nine Asian teams vying for two coveted positions in the global qualifying round. The final leg of the competition saw Thailand, Nepal, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) battling it out in the Super Three stage.
Thailand clinched their qualification in dominant fashion with a commanding 54-run win over UAE on Sunday. Batting first, Thailand posted a solid total of 144 for five, thanks to key contributions from Nattaya Boochatham (49) and Natthakan Chantham (46).
Their bowlers then kept UAE in check, limiting them to 90 for five. Thipatcha Putthawong's economical spell of two for 27 was instrumental in ensuring victory.
Nepal's chance came today in a decisive clash against UAE. Manisha Upadhayay led the bowling attack with a superb spell, taking four wickets for just 20 runs and restricting the UAE to 114 for seven.
Despite early setbacks in their chase-slumping to 38 for three-Nepal rallied through captain Indu Barma's steady 30 off 28 balls to reach the target with three balls remaining and secure a five-wicket win.
With these crucial victories, Thailand topped the table while Nepal claimed second place, ensuring their passage to the global stage of the qualification process.
Both teams will now join eight other sides from around the world in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Qualifier. From that competition, four teams will earn tickets to the World Cup in England and Wales. The ICC is expected to confirm the dates and venue of the global Qualifier soon.
