“The Knock Will Help Me…”- Richa Ghosh Remains Confident After Pakistan Game In T20 WC
Leeds, June 16: Richa Ghosh said her match-shaping 17-ball 34 against Pakistan has restored her confidence ahead of India’s next Women’s T20 World Cup game against the Netherlands on Wednesday. Her late burst helped India reach 170 and beat Pakistan by 64 runs in Birmingham last Sunday.
The 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batter said a 68 against England in a warm-up at Cardiff also helped her regain form after a lean run of 0, 6, 8 and 4. “I think the knock (against Pakistan) will help me really well because it gave me confidence,” Ghosh said on the eve of the Netherlands match here.

Work At The Nets & Team Advice
Ghosh said she kept working on her drills at the nets and spoke to captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and head coach Amol Muzumdar. They told her to play her own game and stay focused. She said that advice helped her return to runs in the England warm-up.
Against Pakistan, Ghosh shared a key 45-run stand with Deepti Sharma for the sixth wicket. She said their long familiarity in Indian and Bengal cricket helps them judge each other’s game and rotate strike when needed. Ghosh also said India are not taking the Netherlands lightly after watching their matches and seeing their bowlers perform well.
