Virender Sehwag once again showed his unfiltered avatar when he trolled Michael Vaughan for praising the 'Bazball' approach of the England cricket team. Sehwag first said, England won the World Cup in 2019 despite inventing the game.
Moments later Sehwag said England players want to play in the IPL and earn money rather than playing Bazball brand of cricket in England. He also came down hard on England media and their team culture, adding that the cricketing powers have shifted to India.

"England invented the game and won the World Cup in 2019. They win one Ashes game, one game against India, and show as if they have won the World Cup. But that's the culture of England team, England media, England board or players," Virender Sehwag said on the Club Prairie Fire Podcast which also had Adam Gilchirst and Michael Vaughan as panelists.
"But now the trend is changing, everything is coming to India. If they want to earn money, they will come to IPL. They don't want to play 'Bazball' in England, they want to play IPL in India. That's a fact. Top players in England, they don't want to play their hundred ball, or Test matches when IPL is going on," Sehwag added.
Sehwag has often been critical of England's 'Bazball' approach. "Karlo Entertainment, England. Jeet jaisi boring cheez Bharat, Australia, New Zealand kar lenge," Sehwag wrote on 'X' after India defeated England in the Ranchi Test and take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the 5-Test series ahead of the IPL 2024.
“Bazball, Batti Gull. There needs to be a method to madness. England simply didn’t have the game to match and looked clueless, particularly after the second test match. The captain failing miserably only added to their woes, and they simply looked like living in an illusion. For this method to succeed, there needs to be a method to madness, which England severely lacked,” Sehwag wrote after India sealed the series 4-1 with an innings and 64 runs win in Rajkot.
