The word Tiger 3 is going to raise some eyebrows in you, yes we know! Tiger 3 is an upcoming movie of Salman Khan, which is releasing on November 12.
Salman Khan is one of the most popular bollywood superstars in India and his film is set to ablaze the crowd that is for sure. But what about the Tigers in Cricket? We have found the Tiger 3 in cricket as well, and a certain Mr. Khan is related with that.

Throughout the years, the name Tiger is associated with bravery, strength and perhaps domination. And in cricket, the term Tiger has had its place. So, without further adieu, let's have a look at the three Tigers associated with cricket.
Former India captain Late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was known as Tiger in his playing days and beyond. Yes, he was a flamboyant player with class and swagger. But the real reason why the Nawab of Bhopal was known as Tiger is something related to his fielding.
Pataudi was a superb fielder who would use all of his four limbs with superb effect. He was sharp and was one of the deadliest on the field, and that earned him the Tiger nickname.
"Why was Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi called Tiger? I don't think many people know that; because his favorite position in the field was the cover's area, where he would crouch. He was slim, and I have never seen another man pick up the ball and throw it straight to the stumps like a crouching tiger. He was always in the covers," famous Ghazal singer Talat Aziz revealed in an interview.
Sourav Ganguly was known as the Tiger of Bengal because of his birthplace. Ganguly was born in Calcutta, which is in West Bengal. The West Bengal state has the Sundarbans, which consists of the Royal Bengal Tiger and Ganguly was named Bengal Tiger or more popularly as Dada or Prince of Calcutta.
Ganguly's aggressive captaincy also played a part in him earning the nickname and recently, Ganguly and Royal Bengal Tiger was associated in a TV programme named 'Dadagiri', which Sourav Ganguly conducts on a Bengali TV channel.
Even in the playing days, Sourav was one of the players who epitomised the tiger like nature in the Indian team. Under him, the Indian team was rejuvenated and revolutionised into a much more robust outfit. Ganguly was the man who gave the Indian team a new era after a dark period, and he is the one who built and nurtured an entire generation of talented cricketers who went on to don the national colours for years - hence Tiger is something apt for Dada.
The Royal Bengal Tiger has a major part in Bangladesh's nickname as well. Sundarbans are also distributed in Bangladesh and the Tiger's presence is also quite prevalent. Hence the Bangladesh cricket team is also given a nickname as the Tigers.
The cricket is growing in the country and we have seen Bangladesh coming a long way since the inception of the game in the country. They do have a decent roar, but the Tigers' roars are not consistent enough.
