Canara Bank has secured a semifinal berth in the Tillo Cup 2025 after finishing second in Group A behind Union Sportings. The team registered dominant victories over Lightning Legends and JP Sports, showcasing their strength in the tournament.
Led by head coach Syed Rashid Hussain, Canara Bank's squad features former Indian Premier League (IPL) players Raju Bhatkal and Bharath Chipli, whose experience has played a key role in the team's performance so far.

Raju Bhatkal, a former Karnataka all-rounder, previously represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2012 season and played in the 2011/12 Champions League T20. His contributions with both bat and ball have added depth to Canara Bank's lineup.
Bharath Chipli, another seasoned Karnataka cricketer, has featured for multiple IPL franchises, including RCB (2008), Deccan Chargers (2011, 2012), and Delhi Daredevils (2013). His aggressive batting style has been instrumental in the team's success.
Canara Bank won two of their three group-stage matches, defeating Lightning Legends by a massive 141-run margin and JP Sports by 119 runs. Their only defeat came in the tournament opener against Union Sporting, but their superior net run rate (+4.083) ensured their qualification.
