Noida/Odisha, March 5: Indian Premier League (IPL) fast bowler Kamran Khan is set to lead JP Sports Noida for the Tillo Cup 2026. The 16-member squad blends together both experienced domestic players and emerging talents as the Noida-based outfit prepares for the eight-team tournament scheduled to be held from March 6 to 15.
JP Sports competed in the 2025 edition of the tournament but had a tough campaign, finishing at the bottom of their group after suffering defeats in all three matches. Heading into the upcoming season, the team has strengthened its squad with several experienced additions and will be looking to deliver a much improved performance.

One of the key players in the squad is Meraj Khan, a right-arm medium pacer who brings overseas league experience, having played in the Malaysia Cricket League. He has also served as a net bowler in the IPL, gaining exposure at the highest level of franchise cricket.
Added to that is Wicketkeeper-batter Vinay Upadhyay who adds depth to the batting unit. The Uttar Pradesh Under-23 player previously served as the marquee signing for Jagdishpur Yodha in the Amethi Premier League. He has also been selected to represent Lucknow Nawabs in the inaugural edition of the Lucknow Premier League, further highlighting his growing reputation in domestic cricket.
All-rounder Anurag Yadav, who currently represents Arunachal Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy, brings valuable domestic experience to the side. He has contributed 52 runs and three wickets in his appearances for the state team. Anurag was also the net bowler for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025
The squad is further strengthened by the presence of Kamran Khan, the left-arm fast bowler who represented Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2009 and 2010 before playing for Pune Warriors India in IPL 2011. Across his professional career, Khan has picked up nine wickets in the IPL, 12 wickets in 11 T20 matches, and five wickets in two first-class games. He has also represented Colts Cricket Club in first-class cricket.

JP sports have been placed in Group A, alongside Lightning Legends, A&S Kolkata and Nexage Hyderabad.
JP Sports will open their campaign against Lightning Legends on Friday, March 6, as they look to turn around last year's results and make a stronger impact in the tournament.
