Mohammad Sharim smashed a nine-ball fifty to power Nexage Hyderabad into the Tillo Cup 2026 semi-finals on Monday in Tillo. His blitz helped set up a 145-run win over JP Sports Noida. The knock also matched Dipendra Singh Airee’s 2023 Asian Games record.
Sharim walked in during the 16th over with Hyderabad 162 for four. He hit his first three balls for six off Sundaram Dubey. In the next over, he struck five straight sixes off Gunjan Mudgal. Another six in the 18th over raised his fifty.

Sharim finished with 80 from 18 balls, including 13 sixes. His strike rate was 444.44 before Mudgal removed him in the final over. Hyderabad ended on 273. The win lifted them to the top of the table, with Noida knocked out.
Earlier, JP Sports Noida won the toss and bowled. Hyderabad openers Rahul Rajpal and Nishant Yadav put on 42 in under three overs. Rajpal made 32. Yadav then added key runs with Irshad, who scored 43, to maintain the early charge.
Captain Noman Manzoor fell for eight and Fahim Naaz for 17. Yadav held firm with 61 from 41 balls. His innings kept the total moving before Sharim’s late surge. For Noida, Pravin Yadav was the most effective bowler, taking two for 25.
Noida never threatened the target of 273. Openers Vinay Upadhyay and Kishan Gupta reached 17 each but failed to push on. Mudgal scored 24 and skipper Meraj Khan 23. Noida were dismissed for 128, handing Hyderabad a 145-run victory.
Sharim backed up his batting with the ball. He took two wickets alongside Ayush Ray and Saurabh Singh, who also claimed two each. Hyderabad now have two wins from three matches and a net run rate of plus 2.831. Noida suffered a second defeat.

In the day’s first game, A&S Kolkata defeating Lightning Legends. Legends posted 135, led by Ankit Narwal’s 40. Kolkata opener Dipanshu Upadhyay struck 48 not out from 16 balls. Kolkata chased the target inside 10 overs to secure their spot.
The result confirmed Kolkata’s place in the semi-finals. They now have two wins in three games with a net run rate of plus 2.007. Hyderabad sit first with the same record. Lightning Legends and JP Sports Noida are both out of semi-final contention.
