TKR Icons Bravo, Pollard and Narine Honoured as Queen’s Park Oval Renames Stand After Trinidad Trio

New Delhi, September 1: In a major tribute to three of Trinidad & Tobago's most celebrated modern-day cricketers, Queen's Park Cricket Club (QPCC) has renamed one of the stands at the historic Queen's Park Oval after Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine.

The newly named Bravo, Pollard & Narine Stand, formerly known as the Trini Posse Stand, was unveiled on August 31 as part of QPCC's celebrations marking Trinidad & Tobago's 64th Independence Day.

The honour recognises the immense contribution made by Bravo, Pollard and Narine to Trinidad & Tobago cricket and their influence on the global growth of T20 cricket. All three players have enjoyed remarkable careers across international and franchise cricket, becoming household names in competitions around the world.

Pollard stands as one of the most prolific players in T20 history, having featured in more than 700 matches and accumulated over 14,000 runs, while also taking more than 330 wickets. Bravo, meanwhile, finished his playing career with 631 T20 wickets, a record that stood as the highest in men's T20 cricket at the time of his retirement, along with nearly 7,000 runs.

Narine has also carved out a remarkable legacy in the shortest format. The mystery spinner recently became only the second bowler in T20 history to reach 650 wickets and is the leading wicket-taker in Caribbean Premier League history.

The trio have also enjoyed considerable success in franchise cricket, particularly with the Trinbago Knight Riders and in the Indian Premier League. Their performances, consistency and trophy-winning records have helped establish them among the most influential figures in the modern T20 era.

The tribute comes at a particularly fitting time, with all three currently in Trinidad & Tobago for the 2026 Caribbean Premier League season. Pollard and Narine are part of the Knight Riders playing squad, while Bravo has returned to the franchise in a coaching role.

The newly named stand joins several other sections of Queen's Park Oval that honour legendary Trinidad & Tobago cricketers and figures, including the Brian Lara Pavilion, Deryck Murray Players' Gallery, Jeffrey Stollmeyer Stand, Learie Constantine Stand, Gerry Gomez Media Centre and Cyril L. Duprey Stand.

For QPCC, the tribute goes beyond statistics and trophies. It celebrates three homegrown players whose careers have inspired young cricketers and showcased Trinidad & Tobago's ability to produce talent capable of succeeding on the global stage.

The Bravo, Pollard & Narine Stand will now serve as a permanent reminder of their contribution to the sport and their role in shaping the modern T20 era.
