TNPL 2025 Points Table: The Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2025 is heating up, and after the completion of the seventh match, the points table has begun to take shape.

Salem Spartans moved up to second place with their thrilling 7-run win over Trichy Grand Cholas on Monday, joining Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG) at the top with 4 points from 2 matches each.

Salem Spartans posted 179/8 on the board, thanks largely to MOTM Hari Nishanth's 83 off 58 balls and a fiery knock of 45 off 27 from Sunny Sandhu. Despite a spirited fightback led by Jagatheesan Kousik (62) and R Rajkumar (59 off 26), Trichy fell short by 7 runs. M Mohammed was the standout with the ball, taking 4 wickets for just 20 runs.

The win boosted Salem's Net Run Rate (NRR) to +0.548, putting them just behind table-toppers CSG, who enjoy a superior NRR of +2.225 after dominant performances in their opening two fixtures.

IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans (ITT) and Nellai Royal Kings (NRK) follow in third and fourth positions respectively, both with 2 points from two games but separated by NRR. ITT's NRR stands at +0.971, while NRK is close behind at +0.529.

Dindigul Dragons (DGD) also have 2 points but sit in fifth place due to a negative NRR of -1.017. Meanwhile, Trichy Grand Cholas, despite playing two close matches, remain winless and are sixth with a NRR of -0.444.

Madurai Panthers and Lyca Kovai Kings (LKK), who have played just one game each and lost, occupy the bottom two spots. However, with the tournament still in its early phase, there's plenty of time for the table to shuffle.

As the action moves forward, each game becomes more crucial in the race to secure a playoff spot in the highly competitive TNPL 2025.
