At the Australian Cricket Awards 2025, Travis Head claimed the prestigious Allan Border Medal, capping off a stellar year across all formats. The 30-year-old batter also secured the Men's ODI Player of the Year award, further cementing his status as one of Australia's most influential cricketers.
Head was instrumental in Australia's success over the past year, amassing 1,427 international runs across Tests, ODIs, and T20Is. He finished as the country's leading scorer in Tests and T20Is while ranking second in ODIs.

His aggressive batting style and ability to deliver in crucial moments were key factors behind his recognition. Reflecting on his journey, Head credited a defining moment from the 2021 Ashes series, where he scored a century in Brisbane, as a turning point in his career.
Since then, he has embraced an attacking mindset, leading to match-winning performances, including his remarkable innings in the 2023 World Cup final. The Allan Border Medal, awarded annually to Australia's best male cricketer based on votes from players, media, and umpires, saw Head securing 208 votes.
He edged out fast bowlers Josh Hazlewood (158 votes) and Pat Cummins (147 votes) to win his maiden medal. Due to his commitments with the Australian Test team in Sri Lanka, he accepted the award virtually, offering a brief but heartfelt acknowledgement.
The Australian Cricket Awards also recognized several other outstanding performers. Annabel Sutherland claimed the Belinda Clark Award as the leading female cricketer. Adam Zampa was named the Men's T20I Player of the Year, while Georgia Wareham won the Women's T20I Player of the Year.
Beau Webster and Georgia Voll were honored as the Domestic Players of the Year, and Sam Konstas was recognized as the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year. Head's double recognition at the ceremony highlights his rise as one of Australia's most consistent and impactful cricketers, remaining a key asset in all formats.
