Tushar Deshpande was hailed by fans on Twitter after he derailed the dangerous Sunrsers Hyderabad (SRH) top-order at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday, April 28. The spell from Deshpande, set Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on course to a comfortable win in Match 46 of the IPL 2024.

After CSK finished at 212/3 in 20 overs, Deshpande worked his magic with the ball and dismissed Travis Head on the fifth ball of the second over. Head, who is in a red-hot form, was dismissed for 13 off 7.

The right-arm pacer then dismissed Anmolpreet Singh for a golden duck. Tushar Deshpande again struck on the fifth ball of his second over to get rid of southpaw Abhishek Sharma (15 off 9).

The three dismissals jolted SRH's run chase, and their dream to beat CSK twice in the IPL 2024. Fans lauded the 28-year-old, especially after he sent Travis Head packing. The Australian, who hit a match-winning hundred in the World Cup final against India, has scored 338 runs at a strike rate of 211.25 in IPL 2024.
