On the final day of group stage of the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, India and West Indies emerged victorious over Sri Lanka and hosts Malaysia respectively.
Hosts Malaysia's failed to beat West Indies in a must-win encounter, allowing their opponents to lock their spot for the Super Six stage from Group A. The Caribbean outfit held their nerve to win by 53 runs and finished third in the group.

In the second encounter of the day, defending champions India managed to ease past Sri Lanka by 60 runs to ensure their unbeaten run in the tournament and also sealed their top spot in the group. Sri Lanka also progressed to the Super Six as the runners up.
Earlier, Australia, England and South Africa won their respective groups with the likes of New Zealand, Nigeria, Scotland, United States, Ireland, and Bangladesh also securing their place in the last 12, which starts on Saturday (January 25).

Super Six Format
A total of 12 matches will be contested in the Super Six round, which will see the 12 teams divided two further groups - Group 1 and Group 2. The top three from Group A will face two qualifiers from Group D, while teams from Group B will compete against two qualifiers from Group C.
The table topper will only face the second and third placed team from their parallel group, meaning Group A winner will only face Group D runner up and third placed team in the Super 6 stage.
Also, points earned in matches against other qualifying teams in the group stage will carry forward to this stage. So, the teams of the same group from the earlier round will not face each other in this stage. Here is how the groups line up followed by the schedule and results:
