
India pacer Umesh Yadav and his wife Tanya Wadhwa became parents to a baby girl on Wednesday, March 8. Tanya shared the news in public by sharing an Instagram image with a caption which read, "Blessed with a baby girl."
Umesh is part of the ongoing India versus Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) and featured in the Indore Test. He picked three wickets for 12 runs in five overs. Currently, the 35-year-old pacer isn't with the Indian team for the final Test in Ahmedabad and has left to meet his family. Considering that the match starts from March 9, Umesh will most likely be unavailable for the Test.
The likes of KL Rahul, Anushka Sharma, Athiya Shetty and Sanjana Ganesan have reacted to the good news and congratulated the couple.
"Congratulations mama T and Umesh Yadav," India opener Rahul commented.
His wife Athiya wrote, "Congratulations."
Former India captain Virat Kohli's wife and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma also commented saying, "Congratulations Tanya and Umesh."
Bhuvneshwar Kumar's wife Nupur Nagar, Ishant Sharma's wife Pratima Singh, and Jasprit Bumrah's better half and ICC presenter Sanjana Ganesan also reacted to the "fantastic news".
Mohit Sharma was also quick to respond. He wrote, "Congratulations".
Umesh and Tanya became parents for the first time in 2021.The Vidarbha cricketer was on the Australian tour back then. The couple tied the knot in 2013.
The speedster recently lost his father Tilak Yadav who died aged 74 after prolonged illness in Nagpur. He has played a total of 55 Test matches and picked 165 wickets. He has also featued in 75 ODIs and nine T20I matches for India, picking 106 and 12 wickets repsectively.
