  • The United States and West Indies will meet in a men’s T20I for the first time and this will be just the second meeting in any men’s international format between the two sides, the West Indies winning by 39 runs in an ODI against the United States in June 2023.
  • A Super Over win against Pakistan is the United States’ only success across their last four men’s T20Is against full member nations (L3) after they had won three of their previous five such fixtures before that term.
  • The United States have lost their last four consecutive men’s T20Is played away from home after being unbeaten across their previous eight games on the road in the format (W8)
  • The West Indies have won four of their previous six men’s T20Is at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown including their last two in a row; in fact, the last and only previous time they won more consecutive games at the venue was a four-game streak from May 2010 to March 2014.
  • The West Indies have won eight of their 11 men’s T20Is in 2024 after winning exactly eight games in each of 2022 and 2023; in fact, a ninth win in 2024 would equal their most ever wins in a single calendar year (W9 in 2021).
  • This will be just the sixth time that West Indies will face an associate member opponent in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with two of their three wins in such instances coming in the ongoing edition (against Uganda and Papua New Guinea).
  • Only twice from his six batting innings in T20Is as Harmeet Singh been dismissed for fewer than 38 runs, giving him an average of 43 in the format which is the highest of any United States batter in the men’s edition; in fact, he scored 38 runs from 22 balls in his most recent innings which is his career best.
  • Obed McCoy (49) and Akeal Hosein (48) are each on the cusp of reaching 50 T20I wickets for the West Indies; McCoy has taken three wickets in each of his last two innings for the team, while Hosein took figures of 5/11 against Uganda in his last game against an associate member.
  • Corey Anderson (United States) has scored 47% of his 30 runs from single at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the highest of any player on either the United States or West Indies teams among those who have scored at least five runs at the tournament so far.
  • Nicholas Pooran has scored 200 runs at a strike rate of 141.8 at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, just the third West Indies batter to score 200+ runs at a single edition of the tournament (Marlon Samuels – 230 in 2012, Chris Gayle – 222 in 2012).
