Mumbai, December 9: Sri Lanka's Chamari Athapaththu, Australia's Kim Garth and West Indies' Deandra Dottin were some of the notable overseas players that remained unsold during the WPL 2024 Mini Auction, held in Mumbai on Saturday (December 9).

A total of 165 players had registered their names for the auction and among them 91 players' names were called out during the bidding process with 30 player landing WPL contracts.

The likes of Annabel Sutherland, Phoebe Litchfield and Shabnam Ismail were the top buys among the overseas players, while Indian uncapped Vrinda Dinesh and Kashvee Gautam also bagged crores.

There were few players that went unsold in the first round, but later returned for the accelerated process, where franchises bought them. India's Veda Krishnamurthy, S Meghana and Simran Bahadur all found WPL homes in the accelerated process.

As expected few released Indian players, who were back in the auction, like Devika Vaidya, Preeti Bose and Sushma Verma were among a few that failed to attract bids.

However, players like Athapaththu, who was in very good form as well as Dottin, Garth and even young wicketkeeper Uma Chetry were among the 61 players that failed to attract bids during the inaugural WPL auction 2024. Here is the full list of unsold players in WPL 2024 Auction:
