UP, Maharashtra in women's cricket tourney final

Lucknow, Jan 4 (UNI) Hosts Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Maharashtra will vie for the top place of the 16th All India Indira Gandhi Priyadarshni Memorial Women's Cricket Tournament here tomorrow at the K D Singh Babu Stadium.

In the last league matches of both the pools, UP beat Andhra Pradesh (AP) by six wickets, while Maharashtra overcame West Bengal by eight wickets.

Delhi and Madhya Pradesh (MP) both collected two points, but due to better average Delhi claimed the third place.

In the last league matches today, UP beat AP by six wickets at the K D Singh Babu Stadium.

Batting first AP girls mustered 75 runs in 32.2 overs, which was toppled by hosts within 18 overs losing only four wickets.

At Sports College Ground, put to bat first, WB reached 111 runs.

Chasing the victory target Maharashtra romped home losing only two wickets during the process.
