UPCA insures Kanpur ODI

Kanpur, Nov 15 (UNI) With bomb blasts becoming a regular feature in the country, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has got the third one-dayer between India and England insured for a whopping Rs 3.15 crore to cover for any untoward incident, including a possible terror attack.

IFFCO-TOKIO, the insurance company which has signed the contract with the UPCA, will take care of any losses incurred before or during the match on November 20.

The UPCA will receive Rs 50 lakh each for the postponement of the match and public liability risk, Rs 40 lakh for advertisement on entry tickets, Rs 25 lakh on incurring losses and Rs 10 lakh on furniture or tent, IFFCO-TOKIO authority said.
