Upgrade Cuttack centre as test centre - BCCI Observer
Bhubaneswar, Jan 25 (UNI) BCCI observer Anil Jain today said he will recommend to the BCCI to upgrade the Cuttack centre and allow it to conduct test matches also.
Mr Jain, who was here as BCCI observer for the second ODI between India and West Indies, told newsmen that he was very satisfied with the way the second ODI was conducted at the Barbati Stadium in Cuttack.
He said there was no incident or complaints during the ODI held at the Barbati stadium, having good flood light arrangement to be fit for holding test matches too.
Mr Jain said he would submit his report on the second ODI at Cuttack centre and request the BCCI to consider it for holding test matches.
The BCCI observer also praised Orissa Cricket Association president Ranjib Biswal and secretary Arshibad Behera for their concerted efforts in conducting the ODI at Barbati stadium smoothly.
This was the only centre where no incident had taken place during the match, Mr Jain said and complimented the Orissa people describing them as ''very hospitable and peace loving''.
