USA has created history after advancing to the Super Eights of the T20 World Cup 2024. The USA team participated in their first-ever T20 World Cup and has strikingly progressed to the next stages of the tournament.
The advancement came after rain washed out their final Group match against Ireland at Broward County Stadium in Florida.

The abandoned match meant both teams split the points. This took USA three points clear of Pakistan. Pakistan will play their final fixture on Sunday against Ireland at the same venue. USA had earlier secured victories against Canada and Pakistan, though they narrowly lost to India, who topped Group A.
The Super 8 stage, set to commence across the Caribbean, will see USA face South Africa in Antigua on Wednesday, June 19. This progression means USA automatically qualifies for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Reaching the Super 8 also guarantees a minimum prize of $382,500.
The Super 8 stage splits eight teams into two pools of four. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the semi-finals. USA is grouped with South Africa, West Indies, and either England or Scotland, depending on the final Group Stage results.
USA will take on South Africa in the very first match on Wednesday. Then they will take on the fellow co-hosts West Indies in Barbados on June 21. Their final Super 8 fixture is against either of England or Scotland.
