Vaibhav Sooryavanshi becomes Youngest to T20I Fifty, becomes 6th Fastest Indian in the List

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has scripted history by becoming the youngest Indian player to score an international fifty in the match against Zimbabwe.

The southpaw came out to bat and dismantled the Zimbabwean bowling attack, as he got to his half-century in just 18 deliveries.

The southpaw, with his blitzkrieg, got to the landmark achievement. Sooryavaanshi took apart the bowlers and 4 fours and 4 sixes en route to his half-century, as India are on course to chase down a moderate target of 126 runs.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has now become the youngest player in the world to score an international T20I fifty at the age of 15 years 116 days.

Louis Bruce of Gibraltar held the record as the youngest male player to score a T20I fifty. He achieved the milestone at the age of 16 years and 56 days against Malta on August 20, 2021. But now it belongs to Sooryavanshi, who got dismissed immediately after getting to his fifty, ending his knock on 50 runs off just 19 deliveries.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi 6th Fastest Indian to T20I Fifty

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has now also become the 6th fastest for India to score a T20I fifty, as he got to his landmark in 18 balls. Yuvraj Singh still holds the record for the fastest T20I fifty by an Indian when he scored in just 12 balls against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup.
