Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Overlooked Again As India Make Two Changes For 5th T20I Against New Zealand
India have once again left young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi out of their playing XI for the fifth and final T20I against New Zealand at Seddon Park in Hamilton. New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and elected to bowl first, putting the visitors in to bat.
India made two changes to their combination, bringing in mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy and experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. However, the team management decided against making any alterations to the batting department, retaining the same line-up that featured in the previous encounter.

Sooryavanshi's absence will once again attract attention, particularly after he missed the fourth T20I following Ishan Kishan's return to the side. The youngster was expected to be in contention for another opportunity in the series finale, but the team management has opted to stick with its existing batting combination.
India will also be looking to finish the series on a positive note after their hopes of registering a clean sweep suffered a major setback in the previous match. New Zealand produced a commanding performance to register an emphatic 87-run victory in the fourth T20I, keeping themselves alive in the contest.
Meanwhile, the hosts will be keen to carry their winning momentum into the final fixture. Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, Bevon Jacobs and Michael Bracewell have all made valuable contributions throughout the series and will be crucial to New Zealand's chances once again.
With the ODI series approaching, both teams will have plenty to gain from the final T20I. India will aim to bounce back, while New Zealand will be determined to finish the series with another impressive performance on home soil.
