Abhishek Chauhan, the maternal uncle of India's Under-19 World Cup star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, has successfully cleared the prestigious Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 102. With this achievement in his very first attempt, he has earned a place in the Indian Police Service (IPS).
Hailing from Rajajan village in the Mohiuddinnagar block of Samastipur district in Bihar, Abhishek is the son of Dr Abhay Kumar Singh and Anuradha Rajput. His father currently serves as the Registrar of Nalanda Open University.

Abhishek shares a close family bond with cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, being his maternal uncle. Vaibhav's father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, took to social media to express his pride and congratulate Abhishek for his remarkable achievement.
Born on November 18, 1999, at a hospital in Pusa, Abhishek displayed strong academic abilities from a young age. He began his schooling at Akshara School in Hajipur and later qualified for admission to both Sainik School and Ramakrishna Mission School after clearing their entrance examinations for Class 6.
He later pursued higher studies and completed his MTech with a gold medal. After 2022, Abhishek dedicated himself to preparing for the Civil Services Examination. In his first attempt, he successfully cleared both the preliminary and mains stages in 2025 and later appeared for the interview round in 2026, where he impressed the panel with confident responses.
Abhishek's success has brought immense pride to his hometown in Samastipur district. Reports of celebrations emerged from his native village as relatives and well-wishers congratulated the family. Among those expressing joy were his uncle Ajay Kumar Singh, a PACS chairman, aunt Tanuja Singh, and cousins Anand Chauhan and Anish Chauhan.
The achievement marks a proud moment for the family, adding another milestone alongside the rising cricket career of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
