Young Indian sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has showcased his immense talent and class in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy encounter, scoring a record century for Bihar on Tuesday (December 2).

The 14-year-old scored 108 off 61 balls, getting to his ton in 58 deliveries, comprised of 7 fours and 7 sixes. Suryavanshi had an underwhelming outing in the SMAT 2025 so far, but his latest knock has alleviated the issues.

Suryavanshi is also part of the India U19 squad for the U19 Asia Cup this month. The southpaw's emergence in World cricket continues as he keeps on tumbling records across the formats of the game. Despite his tender age, Suryavanshi's ease to tackle high-class bowling has earned reputation, and now his latest knock has further cemented his status among the elite.

The youngster was also retained by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2026 mini auction. He was roped in by RR for Rs 1.1 crore in the mega auction, and played a significant part in their season this year.

With Suryavanshi's knock, Bihar reached 176 runs in their 20 overs. Despite that, Maharashtra have a firm grip in this match as they are set to chase the score down with ease. Prithvi Shaw scored an excellent 66 off 30 balls they won the match by 4 wickets, with balls to spare.

Elsewhere, Karnataka registered a mammoth win over Tamil Nadu by 145 runs. RCB's Devdutt Padikkal scored a century of just 46 deliveries. Abhishek Sharma scored a half-century in 19 balls for Punjab, whereas Venkatesh Iyer continued his lean patch with a disappointing 6 runs off 13 balls for Madhya Pradesh.
