India's prodigious young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to rewrite record books with his exceptional performances. After making a sensational debut in IPL 2025 at just 14, where he hammered a century in only 35 balls, the teenage sensation has now made headlines again - this time with the ball.
In the Youth Test match at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham, he showcased his bowling prowess and etched his name in history. Despite a modest start with the bat - dismissed for just 13 in the first innings - Vaibhav more than made up for it with his left-arm spin.

Suryavanshi removed opposition skipper Hamza Shaikh, who was closing in on a century, ending a 154-run stand and halting England's momentum. This wicket made Vaibhav the youngest Indian to take a wicket in Youth Test cricket at the age of 14, surpassing the previous record held by Manishi from Jharkhand, who achieved the feat at age 15 against South Africa.
Vaibhav wasn't done yet. He later dismissed Thomas Rew. The India U19 managed a 101 run lead in the first innings. Suryavanshi scored 14 runs in first innings and then scored a quickfire 56 off just 44 deliveries in the 2nd innings. At the end of Day 3, India are 128 for 3, with a lead of 229 runs.
Suryavanshi recently became the youngest player to feature in IPL when he played for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025. The southpaw played 7 matches for the Royals and scored 252 runs in the IPL, which included a blistering century and a half-century.
