Vaibhav Suryavanshi arrived in the IPL 2025 in a grand manner. The 14-year-old, who already became the youngest player to feature in the IPL, did something unbelievable in front of the entire world.
The young kid from Bihar scored a scintillating century for the Rajasthan Royals to make his royal entrance on the glittering IPL platform.

Suryavanshi stormed into IPL 2025 by becoming the youngest-ever centurion in men's T20 and IPL history at just 14 years and 32 days old. He smashed a blistering 101 off just 38 balls against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur on April 28. His innings, which included 11 sixes and 7 fours, came at a staggering strike rate of 265.79 and featured the second-fastest century in IPL history-reached in just 35 balls.
Over the season, Suryavanshi played 7 matches, scoring 252 runs at an average of 36.00 and a phenomenal strike rate of 206.55. He hit 24 sixes and 18 fours, including the fastest fifty of the season (17 balls), and was awarded the 'Super Striker of the Season' for the highest strike rate.
And on Monday (June 16), Rajasthan Royals revealed the bat with which the southpaw scored his maiden IPL century. An X post from Rajasthan Royals highlighted a heartwarming story where Sanju Samson, the captain of the team, gifted a cricket bat to Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Sanju can be seen revealing that his gifted bat was used by the youngster when he scored his century.
"He's known for collecting bats from the first day he came. I could feel he wanted a bat as he used to hang around my bat and kit bag for a long time, and I could feel like he needs not one, maybe a couple of bats. I wanted to give him one and gave him a good bat at the start of the season, so that he could prepare and get used to it. Very happy that he played with it and something great happened," Samson said on the X post from Rajasthan Royals.
RR had a difficult season where they ended up finishing 9th in the IPL 2025 season, but Vaibhav's emergence is the story and biggest takeaway for the franchise.
