Varun Chakravarthy becomes 2nd Oldest Debutant at 33 - Top 10 Oldest ODI debuts for India
India spinner Varun Chakravarthy is making his ODI debut in the 2nd match against England in Cuttack.
India captain Rohit Sharma confirmed that Varun will be replacing Kuldeep Yadav, who was handed a rest after the first match.

Varun Chakravarthy has been a revelation for India in T20I formats in the last few series. After making a return to the team after three years, the mystery spinner has had a tremendous outing. He has picked up 31 wickets in the last 12 T20I matches and will be aiming to replicate the form in the ODI format.
Along with that, Chakravarthy also becomes the 2nd oldest Indian to make his ODI debut, at the age of 33 years 164 days. The oldest player to make debut for India is Farokh Engineer, who made his debut at the age of 36 years 138 days.
For the Indian women's team, Asha Shobana holds the record as ODI debutant when she made her debut against South Africa women in Bengaluru, at the age of 33 years 92 days.
