Wellington, Mar 8: New Zealand cricket captain Daniel Vettori has became a proud father after his wife Mary gave birth to a baby boy. Vettori has returned to the side for their must-win fourth ODI against India to be played at Hamilton on Wednesday.

Both mother and baby were well following the birth on Sunday, Mar 8 night, New Zealand Cricket spokesman Stephen Hill said.

Vettori missed third one day international against India in Christchurch, to fly home to Auckland to be with her wife during the birth of their child.
