Four-time champions Karnataka will aim for their fifth Vijay Hazare Trophy when they lock horns with Vidarbha in the VHT 2024/25 final at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium in Vadodra on Saturday (January 18).
The 32nd edition of India's 50-over domestic tournament, the Vijay Hazare Trophy, has finally reached its climax stage stage, with the final two teams in the 2024-25 season ready to take the field in the title clash this weekend.

Mayank Agarwal's Karnataka registered a 5-wicket win over Haryana in the first semifinal to reach the title clash, while Karun Nair booked a meeting with his former state side after guiding Vidarbha to their first-ever final with a 69-run victory over Maharashtra in the second semifinal.
Both captain Mayank and Karun, who have gone out of reckoning from the national side, have made a case for their selection as the two highest run-getters in the tournament. While Karun leads the chart with five centuries and one fifty, Mayank has scored four hundreds and a fifty.
Now, the two in-form batters will look to take their teams to glory. Apart from Karun and Mayank, there have been several standout performers in both the deserving finalists including Devdutt Padikkal, Smaran Ravichandran, Aneesh KV, Dhruv Shorey and Yash Rathod among others.
Karnataka, who finished top of Group C, overcame Baroda by 5 runs in the quarterfinal before Padikkal, Smaran and Abhilash Shetty starred in their semifinal victory over Haryana. Karnataka chased down 238 with 16 balls to spare.
Vidarbha, on the other hand, topped Group D and knocked out Rajasthan with a 9-wicket win in the quarterfinal before successfully defending a total of 380 against Maharashtra in the last four clash on Thursday (January 16).

The VHT final between Karnataka and Vidarbha is scheduled to take place on Saturday (January 18) at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodra, the same venue which has played hosts to some of the knockout round matches this season.
The Vijay Hazare Trophy title clash between Karnataka and Vidarbha will be a day-night affair, which is scheduled to start at 1:30 PM IST on Saturday, January 18 with the toss set to take place 20 minutes early at 1 PM IST.
