Vikram Rathour Firmly Backs KL Rahul's No. 4 Promotion: “Absolutely No Temptations”

Vikram Rathour, India's batting coach, stated that they have no plans to move player KL Rahul to the No. 4 position given what he is currently performing before the match against Afghanistan "so well at position five.

"India will play Afghanistan on Wednesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi after earning a resounding victory against Australia in their tournament opener.

KL Rahul 600 1

With his unbroken 97 against Australia in the World Cup opener on Sunday while batting at No. 5, Rahul has had an impressive recent period.

"No, not right now because Shreyas has performed admirably for us at number 4 and he is performing so well at number 5. Hence, avoid all temptations "Vikram Rathour stated at a press conference prior to the game.

Suryakumar Yadav did not play for India in the opening match, but the batting coach promised that they will add the hitter to the lineup if necessary at any stage throughout the tournament.

"I believe that team management believes that everyone who is given a chance should be given a fair shot. Everyone needs our support. Everyone participating should have ample chance. And once more, Surya has been batting extremely well if there is ever a situation when we feel he should be added. He has been performing well and is putting in good effort. Hence, if we believe Surya should be included, we will surely cast him "Furthermore, he said.

In the opening match, Ishan Kishan opened with captain Rohit Sharma in place of Shubman Gill, but the batter was removed for 0.

"No, he has played as an opener and has opened in the past. There won't be a detailed examination of that. He is aware of the situation. He joined the team for that very purpose. He could bat either at the top of the order or in the middle. He's done that before, then. There won't be a detailed examination of that. Just pray that he behaves himself tomorrow "said Rathour.
