Bengaluru, March 3: Vinay Mruthyunjaya of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has been appointed to the Finance Committee, headed by Jyotiraditya Scindia, of BCCI.
Vinay will replace TNCA's Kasi Viswanathan, confirmed a mail by BCCI president CK Khanna to secretary Amitabh Choudhary.
Kasi Viswanathan has been named as the CEO of Chennai Super Kings for the upcoming edition of the IPL and he stepped down to avoid the conflict of interest as per Rule 13-a (ii) of Memorandum of Rules and Regulations of BCCI.
Vinay will now attend all the Finance Committee meeting of the BCCI in place of Kasi and one of the pressing issues will the new player contract system set on the table by the Committee of Administrators.
