After India's disappointing defeat against New Zealand in the first Test in Bengaluru, cricket star Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, made a spiritual appearance at a Krishna Das kirtan in Mumbai. The couple attended the event on October 20 at Nesco.
They opted to spend time seeking solace in traditional chanting led by the renowned kirtan singer, Krishna Das. Krishna Das, often referred to as the "Rock Star of Yoga," is known for blending Indian devotional music with contemporary rhythms.

Pictures and videos of the couple at the event have been circulating on social media, showing Anushka dressed in a stylish white co-ord set, while Virat was seen in a casual green sweatshirt and blue jeans. Both appeared deeply engaged in the music.
Anushka was seen clapping along and Virat beaming during the performance. The event organizers shared photos on social media, expressing that their presence added to the atmosphere of collective devotion and serenity.
Kohli's appearance at the kirtan came shortly after India's eight-wicket loss to New Zealand. In the match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kohli struggled in the first innings but managed to score a resilient 70 in the second. Despite his effort, India faced a historic loss.
They marked their lowest-ever home total of just 46 runs in the first innings. Following the defeat, most of the Indian team traveled to Pune for the upcoming second Test, while Kohli chose to take a brief break and join his wife in Mumbai. The second Test of the three-match series is set to begin on October 24.
This isn't the first time Kohli and Anushka have sought spiritual solace through music. Earlier in July, the couple attended a similar kirtan by Krishna Das in London. Both are followers of Neem Karoli Baba, and their attendance at such events reflects their deep connection to spiritual practices.
The couple, who have been married since December 2017 and are parents to two children, have often been seen making appearances together at events, seamlessly blending their busy professional lives with moments of personal peace and devotion.
