Virat Kohli is one of the best players in the modern cricket history. The Indian stalwart has been an amazing servant of the game and is still going strong across formats.
Kohli recently retired from the T20I format, but he still has been going all guns blazing in Tests and ODI cricket.

But as the Kohli era is nearing its twilight years, another star of Indian batting has already started to take centre stage. Shubman Gill has grown as one of the key players in recent times and is tipped to reach greater heights in the coming days.
Gill, who rose the ranks through the Under-19 World Cup for India, has grown in stature over the years. The youngster from Punjab has played brilliantly for India across formats and was recently appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian team. Gill also captained the Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024 season.
But is he at the level of Virat Kohli? Can Gill be tipped to reach the heights of Kohli?
A video has surfaced on social media which sees Virat Kohli bashing Shubman Gill. In the video, Kohli can be seen speaking about Gill and says the Indian youngster will have to be a lot more consistent to reach at his level. In the video, Kohli can also be seen saying himself the next best in India after Sachin Tendulkar.
"I have been watching Gill closely, he's talented, no doubt. But there's a huge gap between showing promise and becoming a legend. Gill's technique is solid, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. People talk about the next Virat Kohli but let me be clear, there is only one Virat Kohli. I have faced the toughest bowlers, delivered in the most intense situations and have done it consistently over a decade. You can't replicate that. In Indian cricket, there's the God and there is me. That's the benchmark. Gill has a long way to go before reaching that level," Kohli can be seen speaking in the video.
Although the video has made a huge ruckus on social media, it is a clearly doctored video and made of Artificial Intelligence. The video in which Kohli could be seen speaking about Gill is definitely not true and is made of AI.
In the modern generation of technology, the deepfake issue is emerging big time. A Deepfake generally can imprint the face of a different person in a different body. Deepfakes are created by using machine learning algorithms to manipulate or replace parts of an original video or image.
