Virat Kohli breaks silence, speaks about father, family and Anushka Sharma

New Delhi, April 22: 26-year-old Virat Kohli, who always maintains silence whenever he was asked question about Anushka Sharma, finally broke his silence. This time the young cricketer spoke about his family, the sudden demise of his father and his lady love.

While speaking about Anushka, Virat quoted as saying, "I'd give my life for those dear to me. I'm protective about everybody close to me, make no mistake."

During an interview with a news TV channel, the Vice Captain of Team India, finally spoke about his feelings and what upset him. He said that reactions of his fans following Team India's defeat in the ICC World Cup 2015 semi-final against Australia disturbed him.

He was upset when many people burnt Anushka's effigy blaming her for Virat's poor performance in that match. The cricketer also clarified that he and Anushka want to maintain privacy when it comes on their relationship.

"Do let some things remain in my private space... Anushka and I care for each other and respect each other," said Virat while he was asked about his future planning involving Anushka.

The young cricketer also spoke about his family and their struggle in Delhi. During the interview, Virat was quoted as saying, "...everything I do is keeping them (family members) in mind. I want them to be proud and happy. That my father isn't around is a huge, huge regret."

Virat, who currently is busy playing Indian Premier League (IPL), is the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). His team has been struggling as the team has won only one match in the tournament so far.
