Virat Kohli called 'Chokli' in Sri Lanka? A video of former India captain Virat Kohli being called 'Chokli' by Sri Lanka fans on his face ahead of the three-match ODI series starting August 2 in Colombo, has gone viral.
In the video, Virat Kohli could be seen shadow practicing in a closed room before a fan grabbed his attention by chanting 'Chokli, Chokli'. The video spread like a wildfire as fans in India wondered if it was doctored or real.

Later it emerged that the video was fake and edited. In the original video, a fan could be heard asking Kohli for an autograph, and Kohli replies to him by saying, "Not here." Here are the two videos.
Virat Kohli is set to return to action with the three-match ODI series for the first time after India won the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados on June 29. The star batter announced his retirement from the T20I format after India lifted the trophy and ended their 13-year wait for a World Cup title.
Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja also announced their T20I retirements alongside Kohli. Rohit will be seen leading India in the ODIs, while Jadeja has been rested.
Virat Kohli emerged as the highest run-scorer for India in the T20 World Cup 2024 final and was adjudged Man of the Match for his 76 off 59. India were three down for 34 when Kohli took control and helped the Men in Blue post 176/7.
Kohli would now be focussing on the ODI and Test formats. Champions Trophy and WTC final are scheduled to be held next year, and the 35-year-old would be aiming to take India over the line in both the ICC tournaments.
