Virat Kohli again won hearts in South Africa by congratulating Aiden Markram for a scintillating hundred on Day 2 of the second Test match at the Newlands in Cape Town.
Wickets kept on falling from one end, but Aiden Markram kept on hitting fours and sixes to give South Africa some hope of a fightback in the match.

The 29-year-old right-hand batter capitalised after KL Rahul dropped him off Jasprit Bumrah when he was batting on an individual score of 73. The Centurion-born star collected 20 runs in the next over from Prasidh Krishna.
As Markram completed his 99-ball hundred , Virat Kohli walked up to him and congratulated him for the knock by shaking his hands and tapping on his head. Aiden Markram hit 12 fours and two sixes to hit the fourth-fastest Test hundred for South Africa. He dedicated the hundred to his retiring captain Dean Elgar.
Rohit Sharma's celebrates aggressively as Siraj dismissed Markram
As Markram's onslaught continued, Rohit Sharma brought back Mohammed Siraj into the attack and the right-arm quick proved his decision right by dismissing him for the third time in the series.
A simple catch landed in the hands of Rohit Sharma, who was standing at long-off, as Markram tried slogging a good length delivery around the off-stump. As the South Africa opener departed for 106 off 103 balls, Rohit Sharma aggressively threw the ball on the field after taking the catch.
Rohit Sharma looked visibly frustrated at the slight hope Markram gave South Africa before walking back to the pavilion. The reaction from Rohit Sharma was also related to the dropped catch and the following damage done by the star batter.
On-air commentators also reckoned that Rohit's frustration could also be because of his tactical error of not persisting with Siraj more. Notably, Mukesh Kumar bowled an over more than Siraj in the second innings. Also, Prasidh Krishan bowled four overs for 27 amid the hammering from Markram.
