CSK vs RCB: Virat Kohli captured dancing in 'Appadi Podu' Tunes, wins hearts on Social Media

Virat Kohli has won the hearts of the internet after a video of him dancing in the IPL 2024 Match 1 between CSK and RCB went viral on social media.

Chennai Super Kings are playing Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the first match of the IPL 2024 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Virat Kohli's RCB posted 173 for six at the end of their full quota of overs. Despite losing early wickets, RCB managed to put the decent total courtesy of Dinesh Karthik and Anuj Rawat. The latter played a blinder, scoring 48 off just 25 balls. Virat Kohli had a start but he failed to capitalize as the batter departed after scoring 21 off 20 balls.

Although the match is nicely poised, that hasn't taken away the inner child in Kohli. The stalwart has always enjoyed his time on the field, and it was the same in Chennai. A video has gone viral on social media which showed Kohli dancing to the tunes of Appadi Podu at the Chepauk Stadium.

Appadi Podu is a famous Tamil song from the movie Ghilli, sung by the late great KK and Anuradha Sriram. Kohli took a break from the cliffhanger and shook his body in the upbeat tune.

Despite not scoring too many runs, Virat Kohli managed to accomplish a massive achievement against CSK. The RCB stalwart became the first Indian batter to score 12,000 runs in T20 cricket. He is only the 6th batter in world to score more than 12000 T20 runs, as Chris Gayle (14,652), Shoaib Malik (13,360), Kieron Pollard (12,900), Alex Hales (12,319) and David Warner (12,065) are ahead of him.
